Technical Staff
- David Cannon: Senior Production Engineer
- David has 40 years of oil field experience throughout Europe, North America, Africa and the Middle East. A Professional Engineer, David began his career in Canada with Amoco. From 1997 to 2001 he was General Manager of Vermillion an independent oil company operating in France. Before joining CEOC David worked on field rehabilitation for Petro-Canada in Libya.
- Michael Daily: Drilling and Completions Manager
- Michael has 30 years of oil field experience in USA, Australia, Indonesia, UK, Nigeria and Libya. During 15 years with Schlumberger, Michael managed a wide range of wireline & well testing operation bases on four continents. From 1995 to 2007, he worked in Drilling and Workover Department for Unocal (subsequently Chevron) in Indonesia in the positions engineering and management. Prior to joining CEOC Michael held position of Consultant Workover Advisor for Petro-Canada in Libya.
- Scott McKelvie: Health Safety and Environment Manager
- Scott has been involved in the upstream oil and gas industry for over 20 years, originally through academic research in Canada and later with consultancies based in the UK. He has acted as Health Safety & Environment Manager for a number of international oil companies and managed HSE issues for projects at all stages of the upstream life cycle from licence acquisition through to decommissioning. Projects Scott has supported have involved onshore and offshore operations throughout the world.
- Ivan Makar: Reservoir Engineer
- Ivan has 5 years of upstream experience in Croatia and the Middle East. He started his career at INA working as a reservoir engineer on the redevelopment of mature oil and gas fields in Croatia, after which, he moved to Hayan Petroleum Company in Syria where he worked as project engineer in reservoir development of new discoveries. Ivan is also working on his Ph.D. thesis in Reservoir Engineering at the University of Zagreb.
- Robert Newbould: Senior Geologist
- Robert holds an MSc in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College London and has over 20 years experience as a geologist in the upstream oil and gas industry working on a diverse range of assets in West Africa, North Africa and the North Sea. Rob’s technical experience spans wellsite and operations, exploration, field appraisal and field development. The last 11 years have been spent working primarily in Europe and North Africa with Petro-Canada appraising and developing technically challenging small and marginal oil and gas fields.
- Tibor Vadász: Supervisor of Workover & Drilling
- Tibor began his career in 1998 working for MOL in Siberia. In 2001 he joined MBDO working in Syria, before becoming drilling supervisor in Hungary in 2003. In 2008 Tibor joined Hungarian Horizon where he was responsible for all completion and workover activity, ranging from shallow gas fields to deep HPHT unconventional wells.
- Dražen Balić: Consultant Petrophysicist
- Dražen has over 40 years of upstream experience in Europe and North Africa. After joining INA as a well site geologist he specialized in Petrophysics working as a Log Analyst, Senior Log Analyst, Head of Formation Evaluation Department, and then in senior petrophysical roles in Egypt and Tunisia. Since retiring from INA Dražen has consulted for several companies. The log interpretation manual Dražen wrote for INA is also used at the University of Zagreb’s Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering.
- Slobodan Gaćeša: Geoscientist
- Slobodan started his career at INA as a well site geologist and went on to spend 37 years there in a variety of geosciences roles. As a reservoir geologist he developed a number of the most complex gas-condense and oil fields in Croatia and Syria using both 2D and 3D seismic. He developed seismic attribute analysis procedures and helped introduce horizontal wells to Croatia. Slobodan also implemented offset VSP as a reservoir development tool.
- Antun Stanišić: Consultant Workover Specialist
- Antun has 37 years of upstream experience in Croatia, Russia and Syria. After graduating in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Antun joined INA as a Workover Field Engineer. Over his career he has planned and implemented a wide range of completions and workovers, both onshore and offshore.
